Helping People Stay Connected

Cromwell Community House is continuing to support local people through its Community Van Trips programme, helping residents stay connected to essential services, shopping, appointments, and social opportunities.

The service provides safe, reliable, and friendly transport for community members who may otherwise find it difficult to travel independently.

Whether it is attending medical appointments, getting to the hairdresser, doing some shopping, or simply enjoying social connection, the van trips aim to reduce barriers and help people remain active and connected within the community.

More Than Just Transport

The Community Van Trips programme is about more than getting from one place to another. For many participants, these outings provide an opportunity to:

  • Maintain independence

  • Access important services

  • Enjoy social interaction

  • Stay engaged with the wider community

The service is designed to be welcoming, supportive, and accessible for those who may need a little extra help getting around.
